SOUTH BEND, IN — The University of Iowa women’s golf team finished in seventh place after playing 54-holes at the Lady Irish Invitational Sunday. Iowa carded a 942 on Warren Golf Course in South Bend, IN. Cincinnati won the tournament with a score of 919.

Junior Jill Marcum (Clarinda, IA) tied for fifth to lead the Hawkeyes with a 229 +13. This is the second time Marcum has finished in the top five this season. Tyrette Metzendorf (Winter Haven, FL) finished in 11th place, carding a 232 +16. Karla Murra (Sioux Falls, SD) and Becky Quinby (Plymouth, MN) finished tied for 38th (243 +27).

The Hawkeyes have next week off but return to action October 9-10 at the Shootout at the Legends in Franklin, IN.
