IOWA CITY – Carrie Callen has been added to the Iowa rowing staff as an assistant coach. The announcement came today from Head Coach Mandi Kowal.
While at the University of Kansas Callen was on the rowing team and also obtained her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
She was a coach for the Kansas City Rowing Club and volunteered as an assistant for the University of Kansas’s novice team. She has coached many clinics and camps for experienced and first time rowers.
“Carrie Callen comes to Iowa with very strong recommendations and a strong desire to work for our program,” said Kowal. “She will have a positive impact on our program. I am looking forward to bringing her up to speed with the rest of our program
