ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach

The University of Iowa Athletics Department seeks applications for an Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach. This is a 10-month position and includes full University benefits.

Responsibilities: Assist the Head Coach in the management and coaching of a Division I women’s tennis program. This includes but is not limited to, recruiting (domestic and international), team travel, overseeing and planning strength training and conditioning activities, conducting individual workouts, planning team practices, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent. Minimum of three years of successful college tennis coaching experience; demonstrated knowledge of the NCAA rules and a commitment to adhere to all rules and regulations of the University of Iowa, the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA; superior communication skills, effective organizational, administrative and public relations skills; demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment.

Preferred qualifications: Experience coaching elite level collegiate student-athletes and/or coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level; experience in recruiting international players.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
