Iowa’s women’s golf team members etched their names in the school record books at the GSU/Pelican Preserve Invitational. It was the final tournament this fall. Carding a 290 in the final round, the Hawkeyes took the top spot for an 18-hole team performance in the Iowa records book.

Their team performance of 589 in rounds two and three at the GSU/Pelican Preserve Invite also was the best 36-hole performance ever. The previous record was 598, set in the spring of 2005.

Karla Murra and Jill Marcum carded 144’s after 36-holes to place second on Iowa’s all-time top individual performances for 36-holes.

For Iowa’s top individual performances after 54-holes, Murra stands in first after carding 217 at the GSU/Pelican Preserve Invite. Marcum is second on the list with a 219 at the tournament. Murra also etched her name in first place on Iowa’s all time list for top individual 18-hole performances, after carding a 69 in round three. Marcum’s 71 in round three put her in 11th on Iowa’s individual list.

The Hawkeyes return to action in March with the UNLV Spring Invitational, in Las Vegas.
