IOWA CITY, IA – University of Iowa Assistant Golf Coach Adam Kaufman has announced two signings to a National Letter of Intent.
Dusty Koth brings an impressive resume to Iowa. Playing for University High School in Normal, IL., Koth placed in the top ten at the Illinois State Tournament three times. He’s also had success on the national level. He won the 2004 Plantation Junior Tour Championships and the 2005 Chic Evans Open. In 2005, he was named IJGA Player of the Year. Off the course, Koth has a 3.8 GPA.
Also from Illinois, Alex Moen joins the Hawkeyes after playing four years at Wheaton Warrenville South High School. He was named to the all-conference team three times and earned the conference MVP his senior year. As a senior, Moen recorded four top five finishes in six tournaments. He has also placed in the top 15 of the Illinois Junior Amateur and the AJGA CourseMax tournament.
“We are very fortunate to have players like Alex and Dusty joining the program,” said Kaufman. “They are very passionate and dedicated to their golf games. Both are very excited about the opportunity to be able to come in and compete for a spot right away.”
