IOWA CITY –
The destination and next opponent of the Iowa field hockey team was revealed tonight on CSTV around 6:30 p.m. No. 14 Iowa (12-8) will play No. 10 Virginia (13-7) in Winston-Salem, NC on Saturday at 1 p.m. (CT).
The other two teams in the Winstom Salem region include No. 2 Wake Forest and No. 19 American.
The entire team was very excited when Iowa was announced. Head Coach Tracey Griesbaum said “We are excited and ready to go!”
The Hawkeyes are one of three Big Ten schools (Ohio State and Penn State) to be selected to the tournament, both of which the Hawkeyes defeated last week in the conference tournament.
