How exciting was it to have Mr. Belding from Saved By The Bell leave the team a voice mail message last year?
“We were really excited when Mr. Belding called us back. He was very nice and said he would be cheering for us all the way. It sounded just like he was talking to Zach or Slater before a big game. He sent us an awesome postcard at the end of the year too!”
If you could compete on any game show (past or present), which would it be and why?
“I’d want to go on `Press Your Luck’. I just remember it being fun to say `no whammy, no whammy!'”
How excited are you for the team’s trip to Greece next summer?
“I’m super excited for our trip. I’ve heard all sorts of stories about the team’s last summer trip and it sounds like we will have an absolute blast! It will be a great way for us to bond as a team and experience something that most of us haven’t before.”
If you could make up a word or phrase, what would it be and its definition?
“I always tried to get `that’s so raven!’ (like the T.V. show on Nickelodeon) to catch on. It could be used in place of phrases like `that’s sweet’ or `I really like that idea.’ But it never really stuck, so I gave up.”
Which actress would you pick to play you in a movie about your life and why?
“I’d pick Sarah Silverman because she’s funny.”
What song would you sing to win a karaoke contest and why?
“First of all, if I was truly in the contest to win it, I would have to have some of my friends join in and make it a group performance. We had guys vs. girls competition a couple of summers ago and although our team won, I didn’t do so hot in the solo round. I’d get that same girls team together and we’d probably go with something like `Tiny Dancer.'”
If you were a superhero, what type of superpower would you want as your trademark?
“I would like to have a superpower of always having perfect hair. No matter what I did, my hair would stay perfectly styled, and I would never be seen with anything but beautifully flawless hair.”
Do you have any pre-game rituals or superstitions?
“Nothing too crazy, I usually listen to Journey and The Killers before every game. And, I like to be there plenty early so that I don’t have to be rushed. But, I try not to have too many, that way if something goes wrong I don’t get too worked up.”
What makes you laugh?
“Right now the Cingular commercials make me laugh – a lot. I also laugh at the sour patch kids commercials quite a bit. Cool Ethan in the movie Slackers is always a safe bet. And just about anything Borat says.”
What has been your most embarrassing moment since your freshman year?
“During pre-game meal once my freshman year the older girls wanted me to tell Coach Bluder a joke I had told them earlier. I didn’t really want to, but they made me stand up and tell the whole room. I was super nervous because it was a Michael Jackson joke and I didn’t know how well it would go over. But it turned out to be a hit, and now I get to tell jokes sometimes when we have extra time in the locker room or huddle. That’s so raven!”
