IOWA CITY — Hawkeye swimmer Alison Gschwend earned Big Ten Swimmer of the Week honors for her performance against rival Iowa State. Gschwend picked up first-place wins in the 100 and 200 backstroke, and as the lead leg of the 200 medley relay team. Her second-place finish of 2:09.43 in the 200 individual medley was a career best. This was the first career accolade for the sophomore from Champaign, Illinois.
