COLUMBUS, OH – The University of Iowa men’s and women’s swimming and diving team traveled to Columbus to compete in the Ohio State Invite Saturday. The Hawkeye women are in fourth with 284 points and the men are seventh with 121. South Carolina is in first for the women with a score of 554, and Minnesota leads the men with 823.

The 100 yard breaststroke was a strong event for the Iowa men and women. For the men, Dragos Agache placed second (55.44) and for Iowa’s women, Emmy Haeger finished third (1:04.33). The men’s 200 yard medley relay team finished ninth with a time of 1:34.56. The women’s 200 yard medley relay team finished fourth (1:45.83). In the women’s 100 yard backstroke, Alison Gschwend finished fourth (57.51). Julie Feingold placed sixth in the 400 yard IM (4:29.39) and sixth in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:05.51).

The Hawkeyes wrap up the Ohio State Invite Sunday.
