COLUMBUS, OH – The University of Iowa men’s golf team played the first 36 holes of the 2007 Big Ten Championships Friday at the Ohio State University Scarlet Golf Course. The Hawkeyes carded 627 to finish the day in 11th place. Purdue leads the event with a score of 591.
Sophomore Cole Peevler shot two rounds of 76 and landed tied for 22nd at the end of day one. Junior Dan Holterhaus posted a two-round total of 154 to tie for 34th. Junior Adam Miller shot a 159 and ended tied for 49th. Sophomore Zack Anderson and junior Scot Glasford finished 54th and 55th, respectively.
Senior Jon Feldick was unable to compete because of a rib injury.
The Hawkeyes will play the third round of the 2007 Big Ten Championships Saturday. Competition is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. (CDT).
