EAST LANSING, MI — The University of Iowa women’s golf team is in eighth place after playing 54 holes at the 72-hole Big Ten Invitational Saturday. Iowa’s three round total is 949 at the par-72 Forest Akers West Golf Course. Michigan State leads the 11-team tournament with a score of 890.

Tyrette Metzendorf and Amy Riepma are both tied for 27th going into the fourth and final round of the Big Ten Championships. They carded 238s (+22). Tied for 35th is Jill Marcum, who posted a low round of 73 today to tally 240 (+24). Melanie Boyles is tied for 45th (243 +27).

Iowa plays the final round of the Big Ten Championships Sunday with a shotgun start beginning at 9:30 a.m. (CDT). Live stats are available through www.golfstat.com.
