WILMINGTON, NC – The University of Iowa men’s golf team finished day two at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, NC. The Hawkeyes recorded an 18-hole score of 291 (+3) on Saturday. Iowa is currently in sixth place in the 12-team field, with a 36-hole score of 589 (+13). Defending champion Tulsa is the front-runner after two days with a 571 (-5).
Senior Todd Larson led the Hawkeyes on Saturday. Larson fired a one-under par 71. He is tied for 15th place overall with a 36-hole score of 146. Senior Dan Holterhaus is also tied for 15th after recording a 73 (+1). Adam Miller is tied for 26th with a 36-hole score of 149 and freshman Vince India is tied for 45th with a 36-hole total of 156. Additionally, Junior Cole Peevler rebounded Saturday firing an even-par 72. Peevler is currently tied for 50th (157). Nicolas Geyger of Tulsa remains the leader after firing a round of 68 (-4).
Play will continue Sunday with competition beginning at 7:17 am. Iowa’s first tee time is scheduled for 8:02.
