Box Score

EVANSTON, IL – Making their Big Ten Network debut for the first time in school history, the University of Iowa soccer team left Evanston with a 3-0 loss at the hands of the Northwestern Wildcats. The match will be shown at 7 p.m. (CST) Monday.

Freshman Kali Feiereisel made a career-high eight saves for the Hawkeyes, but the Hawkeye defense was under intense offensive pressure from the Wildcats, as 11 of their 12 shots were on-goal. The Hawkeye offense struggled against Northwestern’s defense, and had six shots on goal despite having the edge in corner kicks.

The Hawkeyes (7-7-4, 3-6-0 Big Ten) had 18 players see the field on Sunday afternoon. Senior Sarah Stephenson recorded two shots, while redshirt sophomore Jackie Kaeding recorded Iowa’s lone shot-on-goal.

In the Friday’s regular season finale, Iowa heads north to visit the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Match-time is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
