IOWA CITY, IA – University of Iowa defensive football players Mitch King and Mike Humpal have been named to the 2007 Rivals.com all-Big Ten teams. King is a first team selection while Humpal made the second unit.
King, a 6-3, 264-pound junior tackle from Burlington, IA, was last week named to the coaches all-Big Ten first team. He had 58 tackles in 2007 and led the Hawkeyes with 14.5 tackles for loss (-77 yards).
Humpal, a 6-3, 242-pound senior linebacker from New Hampton, IA, led the team in tackles with 123 stops. He also had three interceptions and five tackles for loss. His 123 tackles were 43 better than Iowa’s second leading tackler.
