The Gopher offense kept at it to win 26-9. Minnesota scored two in the second, 10 in the third, two in the seventh and one in the eighth.

Iowa added four in the seventh to trail 23-7. Jeff Pacha led off with a walk, followed by a Trevor Willis single and a Kurtis Muller hit-by-pitch to load the bases. Burke took advantage of the juiced bases and launched a grand slam to center.

The Hawkeyes scored two more in the top of the eighth for a 25-9 score. Phil Keppler reached on a pinch hit walk and was moved to third on a Muller double. Burke continued to swing the bat well, driving in Keppler on a single to center to pick up his sixth RBI of the game.
