IOWA CITY – University of Iowa sophomore Cloe Lacasse has been invited to the Canadian Women’s U-20 National Teams summer camp. The sophomore forward, a native of Sudbury, Ontario, will be attending camp from July 3-9. A total of 24 players earned invitations to attend the camp.
In her first year at Iowa, Lacasse led the Hawkeyes in goals (12), shots (79) and shots on target (39). She recorded 30 points and also distributed six assists, helping Iowa to a 13-4-3 record. Lacasse finished sixth in the Big Ten in goals and seventh in shots. The forward ranks second in school history in points in a season and goals in a season.
Lacasse was twice named Big Ten Freshman of the Week, and won the team’s Offensive Player of the Year award after the season. TopDrawerSoccer.com named Lacasse to their Freshman Top-100 list.
Lacasse will be a part of 21 returning letterwinners when the Hawkeyes return to the pitch this fall.
