Final Day Results

Evanston, Ill. — Dominic Patrick, Andres Estenssoro, Joey White, and Chase Tomlins of the University of Iowa men’s tennis team competed in the final day of play at the Northwestern Invite. Due to changes in the bracket, Patrick wound up facing an unfamiliar opponent on Sunday.

Patrick fell in defeat to Vukasin Teofanovic of Marquette 7-6, 1-6, (10-6). Additionally, Estenssoro, White, and Tomlins all fell in their final match on Sunday. However, Head Coach Steve Houghton was pleased with his team’s overall performance this weekend.

“I thought both our doubles teams played exceptionally well,” Houghton said. “I was particularly pleased with Patrick in singles play given the fact he was playing in Flight A and is only a freshman.”

Iowa wraps up its fall season in East Lansing, Mich. on Nov. 1 at the Big Ten Singles/Doubles tournament.
