DES MOINES, Iowa – The University of Iowa women’s tennis team concluded two doubles matches and one singles match on the first day of the Drake Jamboree in Des Moines on Friday.
Adorabol Huckleby and Taylor Tamblyn were each able to get a singles win to start the tournament. Huckleby defeated Scudiero of Illinois State University, 6-3, 6-3. Tamblyn defeated Gercar of Illinois State University, as well, 6-3, 6-0.

Each of the doubles teams of Carin Runefelt/Montana Crawford and Adorabol Huckleby/Taylor Tamblyn saw wins against Illinois State University. Overall, the Hawkeyes were 2-2 for singles and 2-2 for doubles on the first day of the Drake Jamboree.
Tournament action will resume Saturday at 9a.m. (CT).
