KALAMAZOO, Michigan – – The University of Iowa women’s tennis team wrapped up another stellar day at the Western Michigan Super Challenge. The doubles team of Aimee Tarun and Adorabol Huckleby went 2-0 in their doubles play against Marquette University. Zoe Douglas and Anastasia Reimchen had another solid day on the doubles court, winning the ¾ playoff in Flight A doubles.
Huckleby and Douglas are advancing to the finals in each of their singles flights. Taylor Tamblyn won her singles match against Courtney Hebard to improve to 5-2 this fall.
“Dori, Zoe, and Taylor competed very well today,” said UI head coach Katie Dougherty. “We battled in singles this afternoon and played a number of tight matches. I’m pleased with how we’ve competed this weekend and look forward to finishing our fall season on a high note tomorrow.”
Tournament action resumes Sunday at 8 a.m. (CT).
