    The Hawkeyes carded the fifth-best round of the day on Monday (-1; 287), ending the 54-hole tournament with an 887 (+23; 299, 301, 287). USC won the two-day event with an 838 (-26; 280, 272, 286), while tournament host Pepperdine finished second with an 858 (-6; 285, 280, 293).

Following Monday’s first and second round totals of 72 (E) and 74 (+2), Yankovich cranked out his best 18-hole performance in Tuesday’s final round since carding a career-best 66 (-6) in the second round of the GolfWeek Conference Challenge on Sept. 15. The Blacklick, Ohio, native recorded seven birdies on his way to shooting a four-under-par 68, vaulting him 12 spots on the individual leaderboard and into a tie for eighth place — his second top 10 finish of the year.

Knoll also posted his best round of the 54-hole tournament in Tuesday’s final round, carding a three-under-par 69, which included 16 holes of par or better golf. Knoll’s third round performance led him into a tie for 17th place individually at 217 (+1; 73, 75, 69), his third top 20 finish of the season and best since winning the GolfWeek Conference Challenge in September.

Freshman Matthew Walker concluded play at the Southwestern Jones Invitational with a third-round 74 (+2). The Ottumwa, Iowa, native tied for 53rd overall at 229 (+13; 79, 76, 74).

Senior Voramate Aussarassakorn tied for 70th at 234 (+18), posting rounds of 75, 83, and 76. Junior Carson Schaake joined Aussarassakorn in a tie for 70th, carding rounds of 80, 76, and 78.

The Hawkeyes take two weeks off before heading to Statesboro, Georgia, for the annual Schenkel Invitational. The three-day tournament begins on March 18.
