3 Hawkeyes Earn USTFCCCA Academic Honor

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Thursday that University of Iowa student-athletes Briana Guillory, Chris Douglas, and Carter Lilly have been named to the 2016 USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field team.
 
To qualify for individual honors, student-athletes must have qualified for the NCAA Championships while carrying a minimum 3.25 grade point average.
 
Douglas, a freshman from Deerfield, Illinois, earned a 3.99 grade point average while majoring in computer science. He qualified for the NCAA championships in the 110-meter hurdles.
 
Guillory is a freshman communication studies and economics major from Antioch, California. She earned a 3.25 grade point average and All-America honors in the 200 meters and the 400- and 1,600-meter relays at the NCAA championships.  
 
Lilly, a sophomore from Sioux City, Iowa, was an honorable mention All-American in the 800 meters. He earned a 3.73 grade point average while studying human physiology.
