Hawkeye Fan Shop — A Black & Gold Store | 24 Hawkeyes to Watch 2016-17
IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa softball head coach Marla Looper announced fall competition dates Wednesday morning. The Hawkeyes will play five contests throughout the fall, before hosting the Black and Gold Scrimmage on Friday, Oct. 7.
Iowa opens the fall slate at Bob Pearl Field with extended inning games against Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) on Sept. 16 and Kirkwood Community College on Sept. 23.
The Hawkeyes travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa, to compete against in-state foes in the annual Big 4 Classic from Sept. 30-Oct. 2. Iowa takes on tournament host Northern Iowa on Friday, Sept. 30, before facing Iowa State and Drake on Oct. 2.
Iowa rounds out its fall schedule, hosting the Black and Gold Scrimmage at Bob Pearl Field on Oct. 7. More information about the event will be released at a later date.
