VALPARAISO, Ind. — University of Iowa men’s tennis student-athletes Nils Hallestrand and Tony Leto competed in day two at the Crusader Invitational hosted by Valparaiso University.
 
The senior/sophomore duo played doubles against Aviv Ben Shabat and Ari Gerstein of Butler and fell, 6-4. In their afternoon match the Hawkeye tandem lost, 6-0, to Gonzalo Martinez and Christian Gonzalez of Chicago State.
 
Leto was defeated, 6-4, 6-1, by Valparaiso’s Kyle Dunn in singles action.
 
The Hawkeyes head to Oklahoma next week for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regionals.
