IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa senior long jumper O’Shea Wilson is set to represent Iowa at the World University Games in Taipei, Taiwan, next week.
The long jump competition begins with the qualifier Saturday, Aug. 26, at 10:15 p.m. (CT) inside Taipei Stadium and concludes with the event finals on Monday, Aug. 28, at 6 a.m.
Wilson was an NCAA qualifier in the long jump during the indoor and outdoor seasons in 2017. The Houston, Texas, native set a new personal best in the event with a 7.86 meter (25 feet, 9 ½ inches) jump during the indoor season, which tied for eighth in the nation.
