MINNEAPOLIS — University of Iowa men’s tennis student-athletes hit the courts again Friday afternoon at the ITA Central Regionals at the Baseline Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Minnesota.
Redshirt sophomore Kareem Allaf had quite the day, advancing to the Round of 16 after registering singles victories over Brooks Kendall of Creighton (6-3, 6-3) and Minnesota’s Jackson Allen (4-6, 6-3, 6-3).
Joe Tyler bounced back from yesterday’s loss with a win over Jurence Mendoza from Oklahoma State in the consolation bracket.
The three Hawkeye doubles teams in action on Friday each dropped their Round of 32 matches.
