IOWA CITY, Iowa — Purdue scored three runs in the fourth inning to post a 3-1 victory over the University of Iowa softball team Friday evening at Bob Pearl Field.

The Hawkeyes found the scoreboard first, plating a run in the bottom of the first inning. Senior Allie Wood singled to center field and later scored on one of Taylor Libby‘s two doubles in the game.
The Hawkeyes threatened in the bottom of the fourth when they loaded the bases with no outs, however the runners were stranded after two strikeouts and a putout to end the frame.
