IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa track and field team concluded the indoor regular season at the Alex Wilson Invitational hosted by Notre Dame on Saturday.

The Hawkeyes took a group of long sprints and mid distance runners. In the 400 meters, Iowa ran Chris Thompson (47.85, third), Austin Lietz (48.95), Noah Larrison (49.22), and Daneisha Woodside (57.22). Woodside’s time was a career best for the freshman.

Junior Macie Weber ran the mile in 5:06.39, sophomore Lindsay Welker ran the 800 meters in 2:17.24, and freshman Tyler Olson ran his best 800 meters in 1:53.83. 

The Hawkeyes head to Ann Arbor, Michigan, next Friday and Saturday to compete in the 2019 Big Ten Indoor Championships.
