IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa junior Hannah Burvill is an NCAA Championships qualifier for a second straight season.
The Pyrford, Great Britain, native qualified in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:45.04. The time ranks 35th nationally in the event. She will also compete in the 50-yard freestyle (22.55) and 100-yard freestyle (48.97) in Austin, Texas, from March 20-23 at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
Burvill’s times rank 53rd in the 50 free and 55th in the 100 free this season. Last season, Burvill placed 31st in the 200 free and 37th in the 100 free at the NCAA Championships.
It is the fifth straight season Iowa has had at least one NCAA qualifier. The Hawkeyes will look to add to the total at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships from March 11-13 in Austin, Texas.
