AUSTIN, Texas -– The University of Iowa women’s swimming and diving team finished the NCAA Championships with a school record in the 100 free at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.

Junior Hannah Burvill ended the 2019 championships on a high note after breaking her own school record in the 100 free by .02 seconds in prelims. She finished 30th among the field with a time of 48.92.

“The race felt good. I tried to attack it from the start to see what I could do. I’m happy I ended the season with a best time because I know I have so much more to give.
“I have a lot to work on for next year and I am excited to start making those adjustments as soon as possible. I’ll carry those improvements into next season.”
