MADISON, Wis. — No. 21 Wisconsin held the University of Iowa men’s basketball team to a season-low in scoring and its lowest point total in two seasons on Thursday night inside the Kohl Center.
The result was a 65-45 Badger victory on a night when the Hawkeyes didn’t have a player score in double figures.
Wisconsin limited Iowa to 30.5 percent shooting, including a 22.7 percent clip (5-of-22) from 3-point range. The Badgers dominated on the glass, 49-29, including 15 offensive boards, which they turned into 23 points.
Juniors Jordan Bohannon and Ryan Kriener tied for the team lead with eight points apiece. Junior Tyler Cook grabbed a team-high seven rebounds, but he was held scoreless for the first time in his collegiate career.
The Hawkeyes scored a season-low 22 points in the first half, but only trailed 31-22. Iowa’s offensive struggles continued in the second half, as it scored six points over the first 10 minutes. Wisconsin capitalized, pushing its lead to 48-28.
Iowa never got any closer than 18.
Wisconsin’s Ethan Happ led all scorers with 21 points and 14 rebounds, while Kahlil Iverson finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds. The Badgers shot 40.7 percent and made just 4-of-20 3-point attempts, but Wisconsin had a 36-18 advantage in points in the paint for the game.

- Wisconsin had a 13-point advantage at the free throw stripe. Iowa was 4-of-6 as the Badgers committed just 13 fouls in the game. The Badgers made 17-of-27 attempts.
- Iowa forced Wisconsin into 17 turnovers.
