IOWA CITY, Iowa — Three University of Iowa men’s tennis student-athletes are ranked in the ITA Division I Final Fall National Rankings released on Tuesday. Kareem Allaf is ranked No. 60 in singles, while the doubles team of Oliver Okonkwo and Will Davies are ranked No. 16 nationally.
Allaf’s No. 60 ranking is the highest the redshirt senior has been ranked as a Hawkeye. He enters his senior spring season with 74 career singles wins, which ties for third all-time in program history. Allaf is also tied for sixth in school history for combined singles and doubles victories (126).
Davies/Okonkwo’s No. 16 ranking is the highest in school history, besting the doubles team of Ramel/Aguirre (No. 25 in 1989). Last week, the tandem defeated the No. 6 ranked team from Columbia at ITA Fall Nationals, which is believed to be the highest ranked win by an Iowa doubles duo in program history. Davies/Okonkwo are the third highest ranked doubles team among student-athletes in the Big Ten.
