IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa men’s gymnasts Bennet Huang and Evan Davis have earned regular season Collegiate Gymnastics Association All-America honors, it was announced by the CGA.
The distinction is presented to the top eight in the all-around rankings during the regular season. It is the second straight season both gymnasts have earned the All-America honor.
Huang, a senior from Palo Alto, California, ranks fifth nationally with an 82.283 national qualifying average. He had a season-high 83.100 in the regular-season finale in the victory over No. 4 Nebraska.
Davis, a junior from Houston, Texas, is sixth in the country with an 81.533 NQA. His season high of 81.700 came in the meet against Illinois on Feb. 13.
The Hawkeyes will compete at the Big Ten Championships tonight at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. The meet will begin at 7 p.m. (CT) and will be televised live on BTN.
