HEAR FROM HEAD COACH TYLER STITH
“Clearly our performance is short of what we expect as a team. We got off to a decent start but dropped far too many shots on the back nine. We had some good individual moments the first two events, but we need much more consistency. We will take the time off to address these areas and prepare for the Warren Course [at the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Classic].”

 HAWKEYE NOTEABLES

  • Senior Jake Rowe had Iowa’s only eagle at the event, carding an ace on the 180-yard par three seventh hole in the second round.
  • McClear led the Hawkeyes with 11 birdies at the Gopher Invitational, followed by Meyer (10), junior Gonzalo Leal Montero and sophomore Callum Macfie (eight), and senior Jake Rowe (six).
