IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa baseball team will host Kirkwood Community College on Friday at 3 p.m. (CT) at Duane Banks Field. Admission is free.
The Hawkeyes and Eagles will play 12 innings in the exhibition contest.
Iowa is 2-0 this fall, downing Mississauga, 10-1, in 12 innings on Sept. 22 and Iowa Western Community College, 29-14, in 16 innings on Oct. 2.
Offensively, the Hawkeyes have hit three home runs and have 20 extra-base hits in the two games. On the mound, Iowa has 43 strikeouts over 28 innings.
Fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items and hygienic products to donate to the Food Pantry of Iowa. A donation bin will be at the entrance to Banks Field.
