IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Gold team defeated the Black team, 5-3, on Wednesday afternoon at Bob Pearl Field.
Katherine Serna was the winning pitcher for the Gold team, coming in and throwing two shutout innings to close out the game.
For the Gold, Tristin Doster went 2-for-4 and Amber DeSena was 2-for-3 on the day, while Brylee Klosterman, Riley Sheehy, Kalena Burns and Anna Henderson all tallied RBIs.
Denali Loecker was 2-for-3 with a two-run home run for the Black team. Loecker got the start throwing two shutout innings. Sophie Maras notched an RBI in the first inning after back-to-back triples to start the game.
