IOWA CITY, Iowa – Harlei Cole has accepted a written offer of admission to join the University of Iowa Volleyball team, head coach Jim Barnes announced Wednesday.
Cole, a 5-5 libero, is a native of Papillion, Nebraska. She played in 99 sets as a senior, recording 502 digs (5.1 digs per set) to help lead Papillion LaVista South to a 40-0 record and a state championship. Cole recorded 64 assists and 35 aces. She and Papillion LaVista South also won a state championship in 2019.
Cole was named to the Lincoln Journal Star Class A all-state first team and super-state second team as a senior.
Cole is a three-time honor roll selection and also played varsity tennis at Papillion LaVista South.
