OMAHA, Neb. – Two Hawkeyes — senior Lea Zeitler and sophomore Caroline Gray — represented the University of Iowa women’s golf team as individuals at the Big O Classic on Monday at Oak Hills Golf Course.
Gray started well with two birdies in her first 10 holes en route to her 85 (+12) in her first round. She improved by three shots, shooting an 82 (+9) in her second round, putting her in a tie for 39th place with a 167 (+21).
Zeitler finished with three birdies over her two rounds on Monday, finishing with rounds of 84 (+11) and 85 (+12). She is tied for 50th place with a 169 (+23) heading into Tuesday’s final round.
The duo will close out the Big O Classic on Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m. (CT).
