Hawkeyes Scrimmage UCF in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – University of Iowa rowing wrapped up its final day of scrimmages with the University of Central Florida on Lake Pickett.

The Hawkeyes first round of exhibition races began on Friday morning, where two eights and three fours got to compete in rounds of a 2000-meter course. Friday afternoon’s events were cancelled due to high winds and unsafe water conditions.

Iowa finished up on Saturday morning with more races, this time in rounds of a 1000-meter course.

Iowa will have just over a month before meeting up with Big Ten opponent Michigan State in Tempe, Az. on Mar. 18 for the Hawkeyes’ last set of scrimmages before the spring championship season.
