No. 23 Hawkeyes to Host Coe College on Tuesday

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The 23rd-ranked University of Iowa baseball team will host Coe College on Tuesday at 4:05 p.m. (CT) at Duane Banks Field. Admission is $2.

Iowa brings a 9-1 overall record into the contest, the best start since 2015. The Hawkeyes have won six in a row and are 1-0 in midweek contests this season. A 10th win would give Iowa its best start since 1942.

Coe is 1-2 overall. The Kohawks won against the College of St. Scholastica last weekend before falling to University of Wisconsin Stevens-Point and Millikin University at the Millikin Round Robin.

The Hawkeyes won three games in Mobile, Alabama, last weekend, scoring 36 runs in three games. Iowa hit .318 as a team with 12 extra-base hits. Overall, the Hawkeyes are hitting .307 as a team while averaging 9.5 runs per game.

Junior Michael Seegers leads the team with a .390 batting average, fifth-year Brennen Dorighi has tallied 16 RBIs, and redshirt sophomore Keaton Anthony leads the team with four home runs.

Tuesday’s game will be streamed live on BTN+ and will be available on the Hawkeye Radio Network.

Following the midweek contest, Iowa heads to Texas Tech for a three-game series from March 10-12 in Lubbock, Texas. Friday’s series opener is set for a 6:30 p.m. (CT) first pitch.
