The University of Iowa women’s golf team heads to Pittsburgh for the 2023 Big Ten Championship on April 21-23. The 54-hole tournament will be held at Fox Chapel Golf Course (par 71, 6,045 yards) with 18 holes being contested each day. Tee times will begin at 7:30 a.m. (CT) on Friday and Saturday and 7 a.m. (CT) Sunday.

THE LINEUP
The Hawkeyes will send six golfers to Pittsburgh, including freshman Shannyn Vogler, sophomore Paula Miranda, freshman Madison Dabagia, freshman Riley Lewis, freshman Kaitlyn Hanna and senior Jordan Amelon. The team’s top four scores in each round will count toward Iowa’s team total.
• Five of Iowa’s six golfers will be making their Big Ten Championships debut. Miranda will compete in her second Big Ten Championships after tying for 64th last season.
THE FIELD
Two Big Ten schools – Northwestern (15) and Ohio State (24) – are ranked in the top 25 in the Golfstat rankings, while Michigan State (32), Maryland (33), Michigan (43) and Purdue (45) are all in the top 50. The remainder of the field consists of: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, Rutgers and Wisconsin.
THE COURSE
Established in 1925, Fox Chapel Golf Club consistently ranks as a top 100 best classic courses by Golfweek. It was designed by Seth Raynor and was later restorated in 2020. Located just north of Pittsburgh, the par 71 golf course of 6,045 yards has challenging greens and a beautiful tree line. The course also features deep bunkers with 97 being added in the 2020 restoration. Fox Chapel Golf Club was voted the best in the state by GolfDigest and hosted the 2002 Curtis Cup and the 2012-14 Senior Players Championships.
