NEW ORLEANS, La. – The University of Iowa women’s golf team concluded round two of play at the Tulane Classic presented by Chad Brownstein. The Hawkeyes are tied for sixth place with a 607 (300-307).
Sophomore Madison Dabagia had the low round for the Hawkeyes, carding a two-under par 70. The Indiana native’s day was highlighted by an eagle on a par five. She was one of just seven golfers to record an eagle in the tournament. Dabagia leads the Hawkeyes tied for 22nd.
Freshman Ximena Benites, competing individually, is tied for fifth place after shooting 1-under par 71 on Tuesday. Through 36 holes, Benites has a one-over par 145 for the tournament, which is just four strokes off the lead.
Missouri leads the field at 13-over par. Lauren Beaudreau of Notre Dame leads the individual field at 3-under par.
