Hawkeyes Continue at U.S. Olympic Trials

EUGENE, Ore. – Senior Kat Moody placed 12th in the women’s discus at the U.S. Olympic Trials on Thursday night.Moody, the 2024 Big Ten Champion, cashed in on her final attempt, throwing the discus 51.30 meters.

Former Hawkeye Brittany Brown won her heat of the 200 meters in 22.29 to advance to Friday night’s semifinals.

Fellow Iowa alum Jamal Britt ran 13.32 in the semifinals of the 110-meter hurdles, missing qualification to the final by two spots. 

UP NEXT: Paige Magee competes in the first round of the women’s 100-meter hurdles at 7:25 p.m. (CT). Former Hawkeyes James Carter Jr. (triple jump qualifier) and Brittany Brown (200 meters semifinals) will compete at 8:20 and 9:05 p.m., respectively.
