FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. β University of Iowa swimming and diving competed at a pair of summer championships in July.
Two Iowa divers were crowned champions at the 2024 AAU National Diving Championships in Ft. Lauderdale. Geneva Pauly earned the platform title, securing first place with 234.75 points. In the one-meter dive, Makayla Hughbanks scored 277.45 to earn gold. Pauly, Lainey Woodward and Simone Beinlich joined Hughbanks in the finals.

The Hawkeyes had three divers reach the finals of the three-meter dive. Hughbanks took second place with 287.95 points, while Pauly scored 276.30 to finish third. Beinlich placed 12th and scored 238.05 points.
At the Summer Nationals in Irvine, California, Olivia Swalley finished 17th in the 400 IM, touching the wall in 4:51.06.
