CARY, N.C. – The University of Iowa women’s tennis team concluded its run at the ITA Women’s All-American Championships with two victories in Monday’s consolation matches at Cary Tennis Park.
In singles action, junior Daianne Hayashida secured a strong win against Georgia Tech’s Kate Sharabura, 6-4, 6-2.
The Hawkeyes also found success in doubles. Barbora Pokorna and Tereza Dejnozkova mounted an impressive comeback, defeating Tomi Main and Yu-Chin Tsai of TCU, 1-6, 6-4, 13-11, in a thrilling match.
The Hawkeyes will return to competition at the Husky Invitational in Seattle, Washington, from October 4-6.
