Hawkeye WBB Announce TV Designations

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa, in conjunction with the Big Ten Conference, announced start times and television information for select women’s basketball games for the 2024-25 season.

In all, the Hawkeyes have been selected to appear on television network or Peacock 18 times during the regular season. The remaining contests will be available via B1G+ (subscription required).

It’s the most coverage via nationally distributed platforms in Big Ten women’s basketball history. Eight Big Ten regular-season games will be on a nationally broadcast platform (either NBC or FOX), the most in conference history. The Hawkeyes will be featured in three contests nationally – vs. Tennessee (Dec. 7/FOX), USC (Feb. 2/FOX), at Ohio State (Feb. 17/FOX).

2024-25 SCHEDULE NOTES
– The Hawkeyes will play back-to-back road games (at Oregon (1/19) and Washington (1/22); at Minnesota (2/6) and Nebraska (2/10) twice during the regular season.
– Iowa will play on New Year’s Day at Penn State. It is the team’s first game on New Year’s Day since 2023.
– The start and end of Iowa’s conference slate is balanced with two away/home contests.
– The Hawkeyes will host their first three conference games on Sundays (Purdue (12/29), Maryland (1/5) and Indiana (1/12).
– Six of Iowa’s nine Big Ten home games will be played on Sundays.

Fans are invited to meet the team by attending “Hawkeyes From Downtown” from 4-6 pm (CT) near the corner of Clinton and Iowa Avenue.

Iowa is coming off a school-record 34-win season. The Hawkeyes claimed the Big Ten Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Championship game for a second consecutive season. Iowa returns a pair of starters in 2024-25 under P. Sue Beckwith, MD, Head Women’s Basketball Coach Jan Jensen, who is in her first season as head coach.

Tickets are only sold and issued by the UI Athletics Ticket Office and its authorized agents. Persons buying tickets from other entities do so at their own risk. Fans should use caution if buying tickets from unauthorized outlets and are strongly encouraged to use SeatGeek, the official fan to fan marketplace of Hawkeyes, for sold out events. The UI Athletic Ticket Office is only able to service/support purchases made through that office, or on SeatGeek.
