MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Iowa women’s tennis junior Tereza Dejnozkova’s championship run at the ITA Central Regional concluded in the semifinals on Sunday at the Leftwich Tennis Center.
Dejnozkova fell in straight sets to Xin Tong Wang of Wichita State, 6-1, 6-1.
Despite the setback, Dejnozkova’s performance throughout the tournament secured her a spot in the third-place playoff match, where she will face Oklahoma’s Alina Shcherbinina tomorrow morning at 10:30 a.m. (CT).
