Hawkeyes Set to Host Iowa Chase

THIS WEEK
The University of Iowa rowing team is gearing up to host the Iowa Chase, a collegiate and community, event this Saturday, Oct. 19th, on the Iowa River.

FORMAT
Drake will race against the Hawkeyes in a time trial format. Members of the community are also able to race alongside the Hawkeyes with ages ranging from juniors to master’s level. The race will be 4000 meters and rowed in either a pair, four or eight boat.

EVENT SCHEDULE (CT)
9:40 a.m. – Women’s Collegiate and Open Novice Fours
10:00 a.m. – Women’s Collegiate and Open Eights
10:55 a.m. – Women’s Collegiate and Open Novice Eights
11:15 a.m. – Women’s Collegiate and Open Fours

HOW TO WATCH
The race will be visible from the Park Road Bridge, the Hancher Bridge or the IMU Bridge with viewing available along the riverbanks near Hancher Auditorium.
