"We’re very excited to welcome two student-athletes that have both represented their individual countries on youth national teams. They are incredible competitors and love the game. They are excited to be at Iowa to help our program sustain this success.”

Mayrink, a Brazilian National Champion, joins the Hawkeyes with recent FIFA World Cup experience in 2024 as well as a constant presence on the Brazil National Team. In 2024, the Brazilian National Team advanced to the FIFA World Cup Elite 8. Mayrink saved two PKs in a friendly vs. Austria. She also had multiple call-ups to U20’s and U17’s. Mayrink spent 2022-23 on the São Paulo Futebol Clube where she was a team captain. They were the two-time runner up in the Brazilian U20 division while being champions of the U17 Nike Cup as well as the São Paulo State U17. In U20’s they finished runner-up at São Paulo State.

In 2021 Mayrink was a part of S.C. Corinthians where she was also a team captain. The S.C. Corinthians were Champions of the Brazilian U16 and finished runner-up in the Brazilian U18 as well as runner-up in São Paulo State in U17’s.

Mayrink spent her freshman season at Barry University where she was named Third-Team All-Conference.

Oching has represented the Canada Under-17 National Team and was a member of the Vancouver Whitecaps Girls Elite Academy, with an appearance at the 2022 Under-17 FIFA Women's World Cup. She also contributed to winning the 2023 League 1 Canada Championship, the 2023 Juan De Fuca Plate, and two League 1 British Columbia Championships.

The Hawkeyes are coming off a season where they finished 15-3-4 overall, advancing to the first Round of 16 in program history.
