IOWA CITY, Iowa – Junior Geneva Pauly placed 10th with 523.25 points in the platform dive at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships inside the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center on Wednesday afternoon.
In the prelims, Pauly used a strong five-dive series from the tower, scoring 252.25 points to move on to the finals. She posted her highest score of the day (67.65) on her third dive to jump into position to qualify for the finals, where she ultimately advanced in 13th place. Pauly averaged 50.45 in the preliminary round.
The junior from Arvada, Colorado, scored 271 points and registered an average of 54.20 in the finals. She scored dives of 63.00 and 66.00 during the final set.
Pauly improved her finish from a season ago, when she took 11th from the platform at the Zone Diving Championships in Houston.
