Tran Earns All-Big Ten Honors

University of Iowa freshman Aurélie Tran has earned First Team All-Big Ten and All-Freshman team honors, announced by the conference office on Monday.

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa freshman Aurélie Tran has earned First Team All-Big Ten and All-Freshman team honors, announced by the conference office on Monday.

Tran earned the distinctions after winning 13 event titles in the regular season. She was the only GymHawk to compete in the all-around in all 11 meets this season, where she brought home four event titles. Tran finished the regular season ranked eighth in the Big Ten in the all-around with a national qualifying score (NQS) of 39.355.

The Repentigny, Quebec, Canada, native ranks eighth in the conference on bars and 20th on beam. Tran scored a 9.900 or higher six times in the 2025 season. She set season highs on beam and the all-around to close out the regular season at the Minnesota Quad scoring a 9.900 on beam and a 39.500 in the all-around.

Tran becomes the first Iowa freshman to earn first-team honors since Adeline Kenlin in 2021.

Junior Kaia Vanney was named the team’s Big Ten Sportsmanship honoree.

Iowa travels to Ann Arbor, Michigan, for the 2025 Big Ten Championships on Saturday, March 22. Iowa will compete in session two beginning at 11 a.m. CT inside of the Crisler Center. All sessions will be broadcast on Big Ten Network.
